Sanyāsa Ashrama Sweekāram at Vārānasi and Sri Chandi Homam at Kolkata

Śrī Gurubhyo Namaḥa, Śrī Mātre Namaḥa!

With the infinite grace of the Guru Maṇḍalam and Goddess Śrī Mahā Ṣoḍaśī, Bhāskara Prakāsha Ashram is immensely blessed to announce the Sanyāsa Āśrama Sveekāram of Brahmaśrī K. R. Yegnarathnam Dīkṣidar to be held at Varānasi on the auspicious Sharad Purņimā day on October 26, 2026.

Śrī Yegnarathnam Dīkṣidar has been a towering guiding light for our Ashram’s devotees across the globe. As the illustrious pūrvāśrama son and senior disciple of our revered Guru Mahārāj, Śrī Śrī Śrī Vimarśānanda Nāthendra Sarasvatī Mahā Swāmigal, he has dedicated his life to the continuous sharing of the Vedas, Devī Māhātmyam, and Śrī Vidyā Upāsanā. His discourses and his natural flair for expressing the most abstruse spiritual thoughts in the simplest of terms have spiritually uplifted countless disciples.

For more than 50 years now, the nine days of Śārada Navarātri have been celebrated in a grand manner every year at the Āśram under his leadership. He is also the driving force behind many Sahasra Caṇḍī Homams, Ati Rudrams, Sampūrṇa Kṛṣṇa Yajur Veda Ghana Pārāyaṇam, and many more grand-scale events conducted at the Āshram. He has travelled extensively to perform homams, pūjās, and give discourses around the world.

In Vedic Dharma, of the four stages of life, the Sanyāsa Āśrama (Turīyāśrama) is the highest, most sacred, and divine stage. It is dedicated entirely to the inward spiritual journey and the attainment of Ātma Jñāna (Self-Realization) through constant self-inquiry. Following our rich traditions and Śāstras, the Āshrama Sweekāram function will be performed in the traditional Vaidīka style.

It is a hallmark of our great Suttamalli Guru Paramparā that our illustrious masters, from our mūla Guru Śrī Kāmeśvarānanda Nātha to our Guru Mahārāj Śrī Vimarśānanda Nātha, and more recently Śrī Jñānānanda Nātha Tīrtha Svāmigal, embraced Sanyāsa in their later years. Though Sanyāsa is not strictly required for a Śrī Vidyā Upāsaka, our Gurus have found it to be a deeply profound state for uninterrupted Sādhanā and inner Consciousness.

There is also a deeply divine connection between Śrī Yegnarathnam Dīkṣidar and the sacred city of Vārāṇasī. While still a brahmacārī, he moved to Vārāṇasī to accompany and lovingly care for his grandmother and pūrvāśrama grandfather, Śrī Śrī Prakāśānanda Nātha, who later attained Mahā Samādhi in that very sacred city. It is therefore profoundly significant that, many decades later, Śrī Yegnarathnam Dīkṣidar should return to the same holy city to enter Sanyāsa Āśrama. We see in this sacred confluence of place and circumstance the unmistakable divine Will and blessings of our Guru Paramparā, guiding him from his early years of service to his grandfather to this most exalted stage of his spiritual journey.

This Sanyāsa Āśrama Svīkāram is a profoundly divine moment for the entire Bhāskara Prakāśa Āshram family. We invite all devotees to spiritually and physically join us in seeking his holy blessings on this highly auspicious occasion.

Vande Gurormaṇḍalam!
