वने रणे शत्रुजलाग्निमध्ये

महार्णवे पर्वतमस्तके वा।

सुप्तं प्रमत्तं विषमस्थितं वा

रक्षन्ति पुण्यानि पुराकृतानि।।

“vane raṇe śatrujalāgnimadhye

mahārṇave parvatamastake vā |

suptaṃ pramattaṃ viṣamasthitaṃ vā

rakṣanti puṇyāni purākṛtāni ||”

A person's virtuous deeds or punya of past always protects him in a forest, in the war, among the enemies, in the water, in fire, in the vast sea or on the top of a mountain, whether he is sleeping, careless or in a dangerous condition.
